Hi, I’m Feibai Yang, an illustrator based in Baltimore, Maryland.
I received my MFA in Illustration Practice
from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2026.
Before pursuing illustration, I studied Wildlife and Nature Reserve Management in China, a background that continues to shape my artistic practice.
Inspired by birdwatching, the natural world, and everyday observations, I create illustrations that blend wildlife, imagination, and a sense of humor. I enjoy exploring storytelling across different formats, from editorial and picture books to packaging and hand lettering.
Beyond illustration, I love making things by hand.
Whether working with paper, clay, wood, or bookbinding, I’m always looking for
new ways to bring ideas into physical form. One of my long-term dreams is to create a large-scale outdoor installation for a meadow or forest. I also hope to paint murals for the community in the future.
I’m available for illustration commissions, collaborations,
and educational projects.
